Full Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail oriented and passionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our boutique-style aesthetic medical spa.

The ideal candidate:

Naturally outgoing, personable, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for aesthetic medicine, skincare, and patient care. Someone who has a genuine personal and professional interest in aesthetics, actively keeps up with industry trends, and has foundational knowledge of skin physiology, skincare ingredients, treatment modalities, and popular skincare brands.

Ideal candidates have experience as a patient or professional with cosmetic treatments such as skincare, lasers, injectables, or medical-grade skincare products and can authentically discuss these services with clients.

Because this is a patient-facing role, candidates should maintain a polished, professional appearance and have a strong interest in skincare, beauty, and aesthetic medicine. We are looking for someone who naturally enjoys educating others and is excited to represent our practice.

Key Responsibilities

Perform Botox, chemical peels, laser hair removal, microneedling, and other energy-based treatments in a safe, effective, and professional manner.
Conduct patient consultations, review medical histories, and determine appropriate treatment plans in line with protocols.
Ensure a sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques during procedures.
Educate clients on treatment options, expected outcomes, risks, and aftercare.
Maintain detailed and accurate charting within the EMR system.
Adhere to all medical spa protocols, standing orders, and state regulatory guidelines.
Collaborate with the Medical Director and owner to ensure quality standards, patient safety, and compliance are upheld.
Contribute to a welcoming, client-focused environment that prioritizes safety, natural results, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Strong knowledge of facial anatomy and injection safety practices
Ability to recognize and manage complications (e.g., vascular occlusion) and follow emergency protocols
Excellent consultation skills with the ability to set realistic client expectations
EMR experience and accurate charting skills
Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with a medical spa environment
Commitment to ongoing education and growth in the field of aesthetics

Preferred (Not Required)

Neuromodulator experience, or verifiable training/certification
Certification or documented training in injectables
Current BLS/CPR certification
Experience with: Laser hair removal, PRP/PRF/EZ gel injections, laser resurfacing (CO2), PRP hair restoration treatments, microneedling, popular filler brands and techniques

Highly Preferred:

Candidates who are active consumers of aesthetic treatments and medical-grade skincare and have prior experience working in a medical spa, plastic surgery, dermatology, or aesthetic practice.
Candidates who have taken the initiative to pay for their own aesthetic training courses ahead of time
Active presence on social media for aesthetic nursing, or experience as a beauty/aesthetics influencer (highly preferred)

Compensation & Schedule

Competitive hourly pay + tips; starting at $40/hr with the opportunity for a higher hourly rate based on experience and performance.
