About Us

Sushi Oishii is bringing a new level of Japanese dining to Sterling Heights with a contemporary all-you-can-eat concept focused on premium ingredients, exceptional quality, and memorable guest experiences. Our goal is to deliver outstanding food and hospitality in a vibrant, polished, and welcoming atmosphere. We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Restaurant Manager to lead our team, inspire excellence, and ensure the highest standards of service and operational performance.

Position Summary

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, maintaining high food and service standards, and leading a team of hospitality professionals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering memorable dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of daily restaurant operations.
Lead, train, coach, and develop front-of-house and back-of-house team members.
Ensure exceptional guest service and promptly resolve guest concerns.
Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and restaurant presentation.
Monitor labor costs, scheduling, and staffing levels.
Oversee inventory management and ordering processes.
Ensure compliance with health department regulations, company policies, and food safety standards.
Analyze sales, labor, and operational reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
Conduct employee evaluations and assist with hiring and disciplinary actions when necessary.
Support marketing initiatives and community engagement efforts.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience; upscale dining experience preferred.
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Experience managing high-volume restaurant operations.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Proficiency with POS systems and restaurant management software.
Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and culture is a plus but not required.
