OVERVIEW

A&S Engineers, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation of engineering design drawings and construction plans for land development, municipal utility districts (MUDs), water, wastewater, drainage, paving, and other civil engineering projects. This position requires strong technical drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and project managers.

Responsibilities

Position includes civil CAD drafting of exhibits and plans for clients and construction projects.
Assist the design and production of construction plan sets for municipal facility projects including underground utilities, water and wastewater facilities.
Review rough sketches, drawings, details, and other engineering data received from civil engineers and apply to production of construction plan sets and exhibits.
Work with Engineers and other CAD Designers to produce construction drawings.
Apply state, local, and surrounding agency criteria to construction plan creation.
Evaluate, prepare, edit, implement, and maintain CAD drafting standards.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or Certificate in CAD/Drafting.
2-5 years similar experience.
Experience with AutoCAD Version 2020 or newer.
Knowledge of Civil 3D and/or other AutoCAD add-on platforms is beneficial but not required.
Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication skills, team oriented, and self-starter.
