Cimarron Midstream provides oil, natural gas, and helium midstream services to producers across North America. We focus on operating, acquiring, and consolidating legacy natural gas midstream assets in conventional basins with high helium concentrations. We currently operate three core gathering & processing systems across the Texas Panhandle (Rock Creek), central Kansas (Peak-Otis & West Wichita), and Chaves County, New Mexico (Roswell).
Cimarron Midstream is seeking an Operations Supervisor in the Roswell, NM area, to assist with the management of the company’s rapidly growing midstream and upstream businesses. Qualified candidates should have a proven track record of building and managing midstream operations at the area level. Must have 10+ years’ experience in the oil and gas industry and 5 years’ Supervisory experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the gathering, compression, and processing facilities.
- Promote and uphold a strong safety culture by ensuring adherence to company policies, OSHA standards, environmental regulations, operating procedures, and industry best practices.
- Lead, coach, and develop operations staff through performance management, training, succession planning, and corrective action as needed.
- Coordinate staffing and resources to maintain safe, continuous plant operations and achieve production goals.
- Track plant performance, production goals, and KPIs to identify improvements in reliability, efficiency, product quality, and cost control.
- Manage operating expenses and departmental budgets while sustaining safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
- Inspect facilities, equipment, and work areas to verify operational integrity, regulatory compliance, and housekeeping standards.
- Review operational trends, process data, equipment performance, and maintenance records to identify issues and drive corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, EHS, and Commercial teams to improve operations and support business objectives.
- Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analyses, corrective action planning, and lessons-learned efforts.
- Maintain, communicate, and enforce operating procedures, standard work practices, and safety programs.
- Support capital projects, facility upgrades, process improvements, and operational initiatives from planning through execution.
- Keep management informed of operational performance, personnel matters, facility concerns, risks, and recommended solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and company regulations related to safety, environmental stewardship, and process operations.
- Foster a positive and accountable work environment that promotes teamwork, employee engagement, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain emergency preparedness and coordinate response efforts during operational upsets, environmental incidents, safety events, or other emergency situations.
- Participate in the hiring, onboarding, training, and development of employees to ensure a skilled and qualified workforce.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, production efficiency, asset reliability, cost reduction, and environmental performance.
Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant years of experience.
- Experience in a production environment with a demonstratable working knowledge of repair, maintenance and process flow
- Possess a current driver’s license

- Ability to write and speak clearly in English and be understood in conversation and on telephones/radios
- Strong written/verbal communication, analytical, and mechanical skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office and other job-related computer applications
- Ability to respond decisively and calmly to emergencies and an ability to exercise sound judgment in problem solving
- Knowledge of all relevant safety regulations and strong commitment to safety
Physical Requirements
- Walk, stand, climb stairs, and navigate uneven terrain for extended periods during inspections and field oversight.
- Climb ladders, platforms, catwalks, and access structures in accordance with safety requirements.
- Occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, stoop, reach, and work in confined or restricted spaces.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Perform visual inspections of equipment, piping, instrumentation, gauges, and facility infrastructure.
- Hear and communicate effectively in person, by phone, and over two-way radio systems, including in high-noise environments with required hearing protection.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, hearing protection, fire-resistant clothing (FRC), respiratory protection, and fall protection equipment.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, and dust.
- Safely operate company vehicles and travel between facilities and work locations.
- Respond to operational upsets, emergencies, and after-hours callouts, which may require extended work hours and physical activity.
- Distinguish colors and read gauges, instrument displays, warning indicators, and other operational equipment.
- Remain alert and maintain situational awareness around moving equipment, pressurized systems, hazardous chemicals, and flammable gases.
Work Environment
- Work is performed in office, control room, plant, and field settings.
- Regular exposure to noise, vibration, moving mechanical equipment, chemicals, hydrocarbons, compressed gases, and other hazards associated with natural gas processing and midstream operations.
- Occasional travel may be required to operational sites, meetings, training events, and project locations.
- Participation in on-call rotation and emergency response activities may be required.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
