Job Description and Duties

The Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) is seeking a motivated individual to be part of the Administrator Certification Bureau (ACB), Administrator Examination Unit (AEU). The selected incumbent will be part of a team whose duties include responding to a high volume of public inquiries to the ACB, reviewing and processing administrator certification applications, reviewing and processing exam and application fees, responding to exam registration requests, performing clerical duties such as mail processing, and collaborating with other ACB staff with operational procedures. The ACB is seeking applicants with experience working in a fast-paced environment and have strong time management and communication skills.

Applicants should have knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, SharePoint, and other Microsoft products.

Working Conditions

Our Office Technician Typing position offers all these exciting opportunities in a pleasant, positive work environment near light rail, downtown plaza, and other eateries, including a seasonal farmers market one block away.

This position may be eligible for Hybrid work. In-person attendance is required based on the operational needs of the position and in accordance with Executive Order N-22-25 the Statewide Hybrid Telework Policy, Government Code section 14200, and any applicable department telework requirements. The successful candidate must reside in California at the time of appointment. Proof of California residency may be required.

Please note: Regular commute is not compensable.

The mission of the Administrator Certification Bureau (ACB) is to ensure administrator certification trainings are in compliance with regulations and statute; administrator exams are proctored according to mandates; and applications are processed to ensure that administrators of licensed Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE), Adult Residential Facilities (ARF), Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) and Group Homes (GH) meet all state regulations and complete approved training programs that provide them with the skills and knowledge needed for them to effectively perform their administrative duties. ACB approves and monitors all training programs and issues certifications to administrators who have met the training and testing requirements.

The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
