Job Summary
Join our dynamic underground mining team as an Experienced Underground Miner, where your expertise will drive the success of our extraction operations. In this vital role, you will operate and maintain underground mining equipment, including drilling machines and heavy machinery, to safely and efficiently extract mineral resources. Your mechanical knowledge, adherence to safety standards, and hands-on experience in underground coal mining environments will be essential to ensure smooth operations. We are committed to fostering a safety-first culture while providing opportunities for professional growth in a challenging and rewarding outdoor work setting.

Responsibilities

Operate underground mining equipment such as drilling machines, excavators, and other industrial machinery to facilitate mineral extraction processes.
Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and material transport within the mine site, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
Utilize horizontal drilling techniques for efficient resource extraction and support infrastructure development.
Maintain and troubleshoot underground equipment, including welding repairs and routine mechanical inspections, to minimize downtime.
Follow all safety regulations, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), OSHA standards, and mine-specific safety protocols during daily operations.
Assist with surface mining equipment operation when required, supporting overall site productivity.
Perform routine safety checks, participate in safety meetings, and adhere to all safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents and ensure compliance.

Experience

Proven experience operating underground mining equipment such as drilling machines, excavators (e.g., Caterpillar), water trucks, and other industrial machinery in an underground coal mine or similar setting.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic welding, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heavy equipment.
Prior experience with underground extraction techniques including manual handling, machine drilling, and horizontal drilling methods.
Knowledge of safety standards related to underground mining operations, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements.
Outdoor work experience in challenging environments with a focus on safety protocol adherence.
Familiarity with surface mining equipment operation is a plus but not mandatory.
Construction site experience involving heavy lifting, excavation work, or oil & gas industry exposure is advantageous.
