Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Bilingual (Spanish & English) dynamic and proactive Construction Safety Specialist to champion safety excellence across our construction projects. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs that ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Your expertise will foster a culture of safety, mitigate risks, and promote occupational health on construction sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead safety initiatives that protect our workforce and contribute to successful project delivery through rigorous safety management practices.

Duties

Develop and enforce construction site safety protocols aligned with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, NEC, and other industry standards to ensure a secure working environment.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits across multiple construction sites to identify hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
Lead safety training sessions for workers and management, covering topics such as electrical safety procedures, occupational health, hazard recognition, and emergency response.
Manage risk assessments related to construction activities, including evaluating potential hazards associated with electrical systems, scaffolding, machinery, and materials handling.
Oversee incident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and recommend measures to prevent recurrence while ensuring compliance with workers' compensation regulations.
Collaborate closely with project managers and construction teams to integrate safety into daily operations and project planning.
Maintain comprehensive records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and regulatory compliance documentation using construction management software.

Requirements

3+ years of Construction Safety/EHS experience.
Experience working on construction projects inside pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities is required.
Strong knowledge ofOSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Standards.
Experience with contractor safety management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to walk construction sites for extended periods.
Valid driver's license.
Proven experience in construction site safety management within diverse construction environments.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, NFPA standards, NEC codes, and construction workplace safety regulations.
Expertise in occupational health principles and risk management strategies specific to construction projects.
Demonstrated ability to lead safety training programs effectively; certifications such as First Aid and CPR are highly desirable.
Familiarity with construction management software and compliance management tools for tracking safety metrics.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams confidently while fostering a culture of safety awareness.
Construction management experience combined with a solid understanding of electrical safety procedures is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

OSHA 30 Construction.
OSHA 500 or 510.
CHST, ASP, CSP or other professional safety certification.
Experience working in GMP or FDA-regulated pharmaceutical facilities.
Experience supporting shutdowns, capital projects, or brownfield construction.
