Full Job Description

Position Overview: The Product Owner will own the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned applications and digital platforms, ensuring they deliver value to the business and its stakeholders. This role spans defining and gathering product requirements, coordinating user acceptance testing, validating application quality, and managing the targeted distribution of digital content across social platforms. Working closely with developers, architects, QA, and business stakeholders, the Product Owner ensures that applications and campaigns are delivered on time, aligned with requirements, and meet business objectives. This position has two operational modes, In-Race and Regular Operations. A typical breakdown will be 80% regular operations and 20% In-Race/In-Race prep.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Management: The Product Owner is responsible for defining and maintaining product roadmaps, feature sets, and requirements in alignment with business needs. Product Owners develop and gather business requirements for new and existing applications. They then translate business requirements into detailed documentation usable by developers and AI-assisted coding tools. They prioritize and maintain the product backlog and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure clarity, alignment, and traceability.
Testing & UAT: Plan and coordinate user acceptance testing activities, ensuring end users validate functionality against requirements. The Product Owner will own the UAT tracking sheet and act as the link between testers and developers. They will collaborate with QA/testing resources to identify and resolve defects, ensuring high quality releases.
Application Quality & Delivery: The Product Owner will monitor application performance, adoption, and issues, documenting and escalating risks or gaps proactively. They will support timely, high-quality releases by ensuring requirements and acceptance criteria are met. The Product Owner will own or coordinate the creation and maintenance of product training materials, FAQs, user-guides, etc. They will also facilitate training sessions where applicable.
Collaboration & Communication: The Product Owner will act as a bridge in-race between the data team and the voters, and generally between business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership. They will provide regular updates on product status, risks, and metrics. They will work to support the Digital Platforms and Applications team in evolving SDLC practices to incorporate AI-driven development.
Leverage the Product Portfolio to move maximum number of votes during targeted races
Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Strong presentation skills
Ability to lead meetings, drive consensus, and resolve ambiguities
5 or more years working in an Agile software delivery team setting
Proficient with reporting & visualizations
Deep understanding of Scrum principles and how to apply them in a maturing, fast paced environment
Strong Scrum Agile background with 5 or more years in the Product Owner role
Prior experience as a Scrum Master is a plus
Agile or Project Management certifications preferred (PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, CSPO, etc.)

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
