SUMMARY
The IT Director, SAP S/4HANA, Business Technology & Innovation, is responsible for maximizing the business value of the SAP investment through the strategic leadership, optimization, governance, and continuous enhancement of SAP S/4HANA and the broader SAP Business Suite ecosystem. This role will lead the evolution of SAP from a transactional ERP platform into a strategic business enablement platform by leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Fiori, SAP Joule, SAP Build, Workflow Automation, Embedded Analytics, AI capabilities, and other SAP innovations. The Director will partner with business leaders, Ops Directors, Functional Leaders, Global Process Owners, Continuous Improvement teams, and IT leadership to identify opportunities to improve utilization of SAP’s capabilities with the goals of increased revenue, improved margins, reduced operational costs, improved inventory, enhanced customer responsiveness, improved employee productivity, and accelerated decision-making through automation, data, analytics, and artificial intelligence. This leader will own the SAP application strategy, roadmap, architecture, governance, support model, and innovation portfolio while ensuring SAP capabilities are aligned to business goals and objectives. The Director will manage our relationship with SAP, as well as with supporting partners and system integrators.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development and execution of the SAP portion of the IT Strategic Plan, working with the business and IT teams to identify and understand needs, develop and implement solutions. This is expected to include utilization of technologies and functionality that SAP has and will deploy such as solutions included in BTP, Joule, Fiori, Process Build and leaning into SAP’s vision for the Autonomous Enterprise.
- Lead the transition from SAP implementation to business value realization by improving business processes, reducing technical debt and customizations, creating reusable integration services, developing extension strategies that minimize SAP core modifications, create and lead the SAP AI roadmap utilizing SAP Joule and emerging SAP AI capabilities
- Lead the SAP and technology innovations roadmap, ensuring SAP investments directly support revenue growth, operational excellence, digital transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the company’s goals of revenue and OI growth, cost reductions and productivity improvements by utilizing technology and data to improve process efficiency, customer responsiveness, open new channels to market and other similar initiatives.
- Manage the functional and technical SAP IT managers to deliver solutions for day-to-day business execution needs as well as executing the overall vision for SAP value realization.
- Identify internal talent needed to keep up with new innovations and functionality that SAP is developing and deploying to maximize value.
- Build and manage a high-performance team that drives results by strong commitment, effective collaboration, and innovation.
- Work with internal IT networking and systems teams and SAP Basis support to ensure maximum SAP performance and operations and that new SAP technologies are deployed effectively within our network and systems.
- Manage SAP AMS(Application Management Support) capability supported by AMS provider.
- Manage the relationship with SAP directly as well as any systems integrators (AMS, Basis, and others) that are employed to maximize our return on SAP.
- Manage SAP solution delivery in compliance with ITGC guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Ten years of relevant, hands-on experience with SAP S/4 finance, supply chain, quote to cash, and manufacturing modules.
- Experience leading the deployment and utilization of SAP BTP, Fiori, Joule, Build and other recent SAP innovations
- Experience managing a team of SAP functional leaders and working with Global Process Owners and other business leaders
- Experiencing leading technology innovation and deployment as a part of transformation and continuous improvement
- Experiencing managing an enterprise relationship with SAP, SI’s, consulting partners and AMS providers
- Knowledge of IT network architecture, systems and infrastructure is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field. PMP, Agile and APICS certifications preferred.
- Management consulting (or similar experience) focused on strategic process alignment.

This is an air-conditioned facility with many pieces of equipment that produce heat.
