Job Description: Innkeeper & Wedding Coordinator
Position Overview
Location: St. Augustine, Florida
Reports To: General Manager / Owner
We are seeking an energetic, hands-on Innkeeper & Wedding Coordinator to oversee daily operations and lead event execution for our elegant, historic Bed and Breakfast properties in the heart of downtown St. Augustine.
This key dual-role requires an upbeat hospitality professional who can seamlessly transition between high-level property management and meticulous wedding coordination. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in hospitality operations, a passion for sales and event planning, and a deep commitment to delivering an exceptional, memorable guest experience.

Core Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Daily Operations
- Team-First Approach: Lead by example with a selfless attitude, jumping into any department (including front desk, housekeeping, or kitchen) to support staff and ensure smooth operations.
- Staff Management: Assist the General Manager with staff recruiting, training, professional development, weekly scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations.
- Kitchen Support: Maintain a hands-on approach by assisting with or cooking basic breakfast dishes following established recipes during low-occupancy periods or in the absence of the primary cook.
- Financial & Administrative Management: Optimize profitability by analyzing departmental budgets, managing expenses, and overseeing inventory/supply levels for Food & Beverage and room amenities.
- Systems & Admin: Utilize the property management system (PMS), Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and third-party booking platforms (Expedia, Booking.com) to execute reservations and daily reports.
2. Guest Relations & Front Desk Operations
- Guest Engagement: Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere; proactively anticipate guest needs, solicit feedback, and resolve inquiries with clear, professional language.
- Front Desk Excellence: Accurately manage check-ins/check-outs, answer inquiries via phone and email, and provide local concierge recommendations for dining and historic attractions.
- Reputation Management: Monitor and professionally respond to guest reviews across platforms including TripAdvisor, Booking.com, Expedia, Facebook, and Google.
3. Property & Quality Assurance
- Housekeeping & Inspections: Perform daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to maintain impeccable cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Maintenance & FF&E: Identify and document maintenance issues; monitor progress on capital projects and furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) conditions.
- Compliance: Enforce regulatory, safety, and quality assurance standards; promptly report accidents or unsafe conditions.
4. Wedding & Event Management
- Sales & Inquiries: Spearhead all on-site weddings, elopements, and vow renewals. Respond rapidly to inquiries, conduct property tours, and secure signed contracts within days of booking.
- Event Coordination: Act as the personal coordinator for couples, guiding them through timelines, floor plans, vendor coordination, and day-of execution from setup to breakdown.
- Vendor & Community Relations: Manage relationships with established vendors for timely orders; network within the local community and attend industry trade shows to promote the property.
- Business Development: Identify new event opportunities and analyze sales trends to provide regular performance reports to senior management.

Qualifications & Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Background: Proven experience as a Manager, Innkeeper, or Event Coordinator within a hotel, boutique inn, B&B, or luxury resort setting.
- Event Expertise: Strong understanding of wedding traditions, etiquette, and event management best practices.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel, Gmail, Google Workspace, and digital marketing/social media platforms.
- Personal Attributes: Outgoing, self-motivated personality with a passion for storytelling, fun, and creating guest adventures.
Physical & Regulatory Requirements
- Ability to easily ascend and descend stairs across a 3-story historic property (no elevator available).
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, and lift/move objects up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a ServSafe Certification within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to complete the Florida Alliance to End Human Trafficking Training within 30 days of hire.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
