Full Job Description

Bookkeeper / Operations Coordinator

We're a growing startup looking for someone who can own our financials and roll up their sleeves when the business needs it. This isn't a purely heads-down accounting role — you'll be in the mix with vendors, freight partners, and buyers, helping us build the operational foundation as we scale.

What You'll Own

Finance & Accounting

Full-cycle AP and AR — cutting checks, chasing invoices, keeping things current
Bank reconciliations, expense tracking, and monthly close using QuickBooks
Basic financial reporting to give leadership a clear picture of cash flow

Vendor & Buyer Relations

Onboarding new vendors and buyers — getting them set up, collecting W-9s, managing contact info
Being the point of contact when issues come up with orders, payments, or freight

Freight & Operations

Coordinating shipments and liaising with freight carriers to resolve discrepancies
Tracking inbound and outbound freight costs and coding them correctly

General Office

Keeping the back-office running — filing, document management, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks
Supporting the team with whatever operational tasks come up as we grow

What We're Looking For

Solid bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally in a small business or startup setting
Comfortable in QuickBooks (or similar) and not intimidated by learning new tools
Someone who communicates well and follows through — vendors and buyers will count on you
Ability to context-switch between detailed accounting work and operational tasks without losing accuracy
Experience with freight, logistics, or industrial purchasing is a plus, not a requirement

This role will evolve as we do. If you're someone who likes variety, takes ownership, and wants to be a key part of building something from the ground up, we'd love to talk.

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
