Full Job Description

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. is searching for a Sales Manager to join its team and lead the Central and Southern Minnesota construction equipment Territory Managers. In this role the Sales Manager will be responsible for the growth of our sales and rental revenue, market share, territory coverage, and the overall customer experience. This individual should have experience with managing a team, strategic initiatives, construction industry, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

Manage the sales activities for RMS’ Southern and Central MN Territory while continuing to improve & refine sales force capability and effectiveness.

Serve as supervisor for construction equipment Territory Managers

Drive improvement of key sales related metrics:

Market Share
CRM Series Call Frequency and Territory Management
Rental Fleet Utilization
Revenue, Pricing, Margin Achievement
Used Equipment Operations

Inventory Management

Work with Sales Leadership group to identify quantities, specifications, timing, and logistics for regional inventory ordering and stocking.
Work with Sales Leaders to establish and review rentals rates annually.

Assume sales leadership responsibilities, including direct involvement with select strategic accounts, leading and managing the RMS Enterprise Selling Strategy.
Create action plans with Territory Managers for (any) accounts not meeting plan, track & report progress.
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors.
Become actively involved in industry associations.
Create a safe working environment for employees, foster safety improvements and employee involvement.
