Distribution Account Manager

Harmony Fresh Seafoods
Location: 1790 16th St SE Suite 201, Salem, Oregon 97302
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $70,000-80,000

About the Role

Harmony Fresh Seafoods is seeking an experienced Distribution Account Manager to support our growing wholesale business.

This is not a sales position. This person will work alongside our sales team to manage distributor onboarding, paperwork, account setup, ongoing communication, and administrative requirements.

The ideal candidate has extensive, hands-on experience working with food distributors such as KeHE, UNFI, or similar national and regional distributors. They should understand vendor portals, new item setup, pricing forms, product documentation, promotional programs, fees, deductions, and distributor compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage distributor and wholesale account onboarding from start to finish.
Complete new vendor forms, item setup documents, pricing forms, product specifications, and compliance paperwork.
Maintain accurate information within distributor portals and internal systems.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor representatives and account contacts.
Track submissions, approvals, deadlines, promotional programs, and account requirements.
Support the sales team by coordinating the operational steps needed to launch new accounts.
Work with sales, accounting, marketing, quality, and production to gather required information.
Help resolve pricing discrepancies, deductions, chargebacks, documentation issues, and account concerns.
Develop organized, repeatable processes for managing distributor accounts.

Qualifications

Direct experience working with KeHE, UNFI, or comparable food distributors.
Strong knowledge of distributor onboarding, vendor setup, item setup, and account maintenance.
Experience with distributor portals, forms, fees, deductions, promotions, and compliance requirements.
Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Experience in food, beverage, consumer packaged goods, or wholesale distribution is strongly preferred.
Comfortable working independently while coordinating with multiple departments.

A successful Distribution Account Manager will:

Ensure distributor onboarding paperwork is accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
Create visibility into the status of every distributor opportunity and active account.
Develop strong, responsive relationships with distributor contacts.
Minimize onboarding delays, missing documentation, pricing errors, and unresolved deductions.
Build repeatable processes that allow Harmony to expand without overwhelming the sales or leadership teams.
Allow Harmony’s sales representatives to spend more time selling and less time managing paperwork and distributor administration.
