The Full-Charge Bookkeeper is responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day financial operations while supporting key administrative functions, including payroll, tax coordination, insurance management, workers’ compensation reporting, and HR recordkeeping. This role ensures accurate financial tracking, regulatory compliance, and efficient office operations.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and ensuring smooth internal operations. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple functions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger
- Record daily financial transactions and journal entries
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting
- Monitor cash flow and maintain supporting documentation
- Coordinate with CPA for year-end reporting and audits
- Helping with costing, invoicing, and past dues
Payroll & Tax Support
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll tax filings
- Prepare documentation for federal, state, and local taxes
- Support quarterly and annual tax preparation with CPA
- Maintain audit-ready payroll and tax records
- Track contractor payments and issue 1099s
Insurance & Compliance
- Coordinate and manage company insurance policies, including general liability, commercial auto, and workers’ compensation
- Track policy renewals and certificates of insurance
- Manage workers’ compensation reporting and claims
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal controls
Human Resources Administration
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation
- Assist with onboarding and new hire paperwork
- Manage I-9s, W-4s, benefits documentation, and employee files
- Track PTO and maintain compliance records
- Support employee benefits administration
- Assist with HR policies and internal documentation
Administrative & Office Support
- Maintain organized financial and employee records
- Communicate with vendors, accountants, and insurance providers
- Support leadership with reporting and operational needs
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems
- Helping with costing, invoicing, and past dues
Qualifications
- 1–5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience with payroll processing and payroll taxes
- Familiarity with workers’ compensation and insurance administration
- Basic HR administration experience preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, or similar)
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
