We are currently hiring for a Personal Training Director in Training (PTDIT) role — a high-performance leadership development position designed for top-performing fitness professionals who are ready to grow into management and eventually lead their own Personal Training department.
This is not an entry-level trainer position.

PTDITs work directly alongside an active Personal Training Director inside a high-performing Crunch Fitness location while learning the leadership systems, operational standards, and revenue-driving strategies required to eventually step into a Personal Training Director role.
What You’ll Do: Leadership & Department Operations
- Work hand-in-hand with the club’s Personal Training Director to drive department performance
- Help lead the Personal Training team through accountability, coaching, and floor presence
- Support daily PT department operations and execution
- Maintain a strong leadership presence during peak business hours
- Assist with trainer development, onboarding, and performance management
- Help execute club events, outreach initiatives, and member engagement activities
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Drive Personal Training sales and overall department revenue growth
- Conduct consultations, kickoffs, and training recommendations
- Help improve key department KPIs
- Create exceptional member experiences that improve long-term retention
- Support a high-performance, results-driven culture within the PT department
Personal Training & Coaching
- Deliver high-quality Personal Training sessions
- Lead by example through professionalism, energy, and work ethic
- Build strong relationships with members and clients
- Maintain a results-focused coaching environment
Leadership Development Program
The PTDIT role is designed to prepare high-performing individuals to become future Personal Training Directors within the company.
Throughout the program, you will gain hands-on experience in:
- PT sales systems
- Revenue-driving strategies
- KPI management
- Team leadership
- Hiring and interviewing
- Trainer accountability
- Operational systems
- Event execution
- Retention systems
- Club growth strategies
- High-performance culture development
Successful PTDITs may be promoted into Personal Training Director opportunities at new or existing Crunch Fitness locations.
Relocation Requirement
This role requires relocation flexibility.
All PTDIT candidates must be open to relocation opportunities as needed for new club openings and leadership placements. Candidates selected for promotion into a Personal Training Director role may be asked to relocate to support the launch and growth of a new Crunch Fitness location.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
This is a highly accountable, performance-driven leadership role.
PTDITs are expected to work directly alongside the Personal Training Director to help drive strong department performance and maintain the following key KPIs on a monthly basis:
- 10%+ NMU Enrollment
- Measured by new unique recurring Personal Training enrollments compared to total new memberships sold
- 90%+ Client Retention
- Measured by clients who continue training month-over-month after completing sessions in the prior calendar month
PTDITs are expected to contribute to:
- Revenue growth
- New client acquisition
- Client retention
- Team productivity
- Department culture and execution

Compensation & Earning Potential
This is an hourly, non-salaried leadership development role with multiple performance-based earning opportunities.
Compensation Includes:
- Hourly pay with minimum wage guarantee
- Session serviced premiums

Leadership Bonus Opportunity
Eligible PTDITs may earn monthly leadership bonuses based on:
- Personal Training revenue performance
- New PT enrollment performance

Session Serviced Premiums
Additional earning opportunities include:
- 50% session serviced premium on qualifying Personal Training sessions
- Additional incentives for CrunchONE Kickoff sessions
Productivity Bonus
Eligible team members may earn an additional 5% productivity bonus after servicing 50+ qualifying session hours during a pay period.
Top-performing PTDITs have strong earning potential while developing into future Personal Training Directors.
QualificationsRequired:
- Nationally Accredited Personal Training Certification
- Current CPR/AED Certification
- Master Trainer status (or ability to obtain)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Passion for fitness, coaching, and leadership
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
- Sales confidence and relationship-building ability
- Willingness to relocate for future leadership opportunities
Preferred:
- Personal Training experience
- Fitness sales experience
- Leadership or management experience
- Experience driving KPIs and retention metrics
Role Expectations
- Minimum of 25 serviced session hours weekly
- Minimum of 35 documented event/work hours weekly
- Weekend availability required
- Strong physical floor presence expected
- Ability to lead from the front through energy, professionalism, and execution
