Boyertown Area Multi-Service (BAMS) is seeking an energetic, creative, and compassionate Program Coordinator to lead activities and special events for our thriving senior center.

You'll help create engaging programs that keep older adults active, connected, healthy, and inspired. Whether you're organizing an event, fitness class, educational seminar, holiday celebration, card tournament, day trip, or wellness event, your creativity and enthusiasm will help make our center a place people look forward to visiting.

About Boyertown Area Multi-Service (BAMS)

For more than 50 years, Boyertown Area Multi-Service has been serving the community through programs that improve the lives of older adults, families, and individuals throughout the Boyertown area.

Our senior center is a welcoming place where members enjoy meals, fitness, educational programs, entertainment, social activities, volunteer opportunities, and meaningful friendships.

We're continually growing and looking for innovative ideas to make our center one of the premier senior centers in Pennsylvania.

What You'll Do

As our Program Coordinator, you'll:

Plan, coordinate, and implement engaging daily, weekly, and seasonal activities
Develop new programs based on member interests and community needs
Organize special events, guest speakers, entertainment, and educational workshops
Coordinate instructors, presenters, and volunteers
Promote programs through Facebook, newsletters, our website, and community outreach
Build relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community partners
Assist members with program registration and participation
Gather feedback through surveys and conversations to continuously improve programming
Work closely with the Center Director and leadership team to grow participation and member satisfaction
Assist with fundraising events and community outreach activities
Help create a welcoming, positive, and fun atmosphere for everyone who walks through our doors

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

Friendly, outgoing, and enjoys working with older adults
Creative and full of new ideas
Organized and able to manage multiple projects
An excellent communicator
Comfortable speaking in front of groups
Self-motivated and able to work independently
A team player with a positive attitude
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and social media
Passionate about making a difference in the community

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate's or bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Human Services, Communications, Event Planning, or a related field preferred
Two or more years of experience coordinating programs, activities, recreation, events, or community outreach
Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
Ability to obtain all required background clearances
