Precision and clinical expertise: You operate MRI scanners to produce high-resolution diagnostic images, and you know the difference between good enough and diagnostic grade. You select the right imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient condition, evaluate your own work before it reaches a radiologist, and bring real depth in MRI physics, cross-sectional anatomy, and contrast administration protocols.
Safety is the job: MRI safety is not a checklist you run through on autopilot—it is a mindset you apply to every patient, every scan, every shift. You know your safety zones cold—Zone I through Zone IV—and you enforce them without exception. - ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required
- Valid state licensure current (where required)
- Hands-on CPR/BLS certified and current
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or MRI Technology program
- 1+ year of experience in a high-volume MRI environment preferred
- MRI safety zones and screening protocols second nature
- Proficiency in PACS and imaging software systems
- Confident in contrast administration and contraindication assessment
- Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and teammates
- Calm under pressure and sharp under a deadline
