CNC Machinist Job Description

Overview

We are a family-owned business that prides ourselves on employee satisfaction located in San Andreas, Ca. We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to accomplish a high level of work without supervision to produce machined parts by programming, setting-up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Yasnac and Fanuc controls desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machines to fabricate components according to specifications.
Set up and adjust machine tools for optimal performance.
Utilize hand tools for assembly and finishing tasks.
Perform quality checks using calipers and coordinate measuring machines.
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate machining processes.
Conduct basic math calculations to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.

Experience

Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with programming CNC machines is highly desirable.
Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials is essential.
Experience with forklift operation is a plus.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing concepts is beneficial.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
