Job Overview

Security, Clearance, and Certification Requirements
- U.S. citizenship: Required.
- Secret clearance: Candidates must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance for the duration of the contract.
- Security designation: ADP/IT-II.
- Required investigation: Tier 3.
- Information assurance certification: IAT Level II (CompTIA Security+ CE or another contract-approved equivalent or higher certification).
- Required Microsoft certification: Power BI, Power Automate, or Power Platform certification.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant experience: At least six years of progressive experience in application development, low-code development, workflow automation, data analytics, business intelligence, SharePoint, or a closely related discipline.
- Microsoft Power Platform: Working-level, hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Experience with only one of these products does not satisfy this combined requirement.
- SharePoint: Hands-on experience creating, maintaining, or supporting SharePoint Online sites, site pages, lists, document libraries, permissions, content repositories, or knowledge-management solutions.
- Solution development: Experience creating, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, modifying, or documenting applications, automated workflows, dashboards, and reports.
- Power BI and data knowledge: Understanding of key performance indicators, data visualization, dashboard design, and reporting practices; foundational SQL knowledge; and experience working with structured datasets.
- Requirements and delivery: Experience gathering and documenting business or functional requirements, translating them into technical tasks, and supporting testing, debugging, user acceptance, deployment, and technical documentation.
- Professional capabilities: Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, written communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively; and ability to manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, data analytics, software development, business technology, or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education, technical training, certifications, and relevant professional experience may be considered.
Detailed Certification, Clearance, and Work Requirements
- ADP/IT-II, Tier 3, and Secret clearance: The candidate must satisfy ADP/IT-II requirements, complete the Tier 3 investigation and adjudication process, and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance for the duration of the contract. U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates must either currently hold a Secret clearance or be eligible to obtain one and must maintain it throughout contract performance.
- IAT Level II certification: The selected candidate must possess or obtain and maintain an approved DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification within the contract-required timeframe. CompTIA Security+ CE or better satisfies this requirement; other IAT Level II or higher certifications may qualify when listed in Section 3.0, Commercial Certificates, of the governing contract or task order.
- Microsoft Power BI certification: The candidate must currently hold and maintain an active Microsoft Power BI certification. Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, earned through Exam PL-300, satisfies this requirement.
- Required Microsoft certification: Power BI, Power Automate, or Power Platform certification.
- Certification maintenance: All required certifications must remain active and in good standing throughout employment and the applicable period of contract performance.

Alkanna Consulting, LLC is seeking a Power Platform Developer to create, enhance, and maintain low-code solutions that improve business processes, information access, and organizational decision-making. The role supports Power Apps application development, Power Automate workflow automation, Power BI reporting, SharePoint content and knowledge management, requirements gathering, testing, documentation, deployment, training, and user support.
The selected candidate will work with senior developers, technical personnel, business stakeholders, content owners, and end users to translate approved operational requirements into secure, reliable, accessible, and user-friendly solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesPower Apps and Power Automate Development
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, modify, and enhance low-code applications and automated workflows using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Develop and maintain Power Platform solutions that integrate with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, structured datasets, and other approved data sources.
- Test, debug, troubleshoot, update, and document applications and workflows as requirements change.
- Follow established development, testing, configuration-management, cybersecurity, and deployment procedures.
- Work with senior developers and technical leads to ensure solutions meet architectural, security, performance, usability, and business requirements.
Power BI Reporting and Data Visualization
- Build, update, refine, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Work with stakeholders to define key performance indicators, reporting requirements, data relationships, business rules, and visualization needs.
- Transform structured data into clear, accurate, actionable reports and visualizations.
- Develop and maintain data models, measures, calculations, filters, report-navigation features, and supporting documentation.
- Perform data validation, report testing, troubleshooting, quality assurance, and usability improvements using sound dashboard and visualization practices.
SharePoint and Knowledge Management
- Develop and maintain SharePoint knowledge bases, site pages, document libraries, lists, and other content repositories.
- Organize and update SharePoint content so information remains accurate, current, accessible, and easy to locate.
- Support SharePoint permissions, security groups, access controls, content governance, and knowledge-management tools and resources.
- Troubleshoot SharePoint access, navigation, content, and usability issues and coordinate required updates with content owners and stakeholders.
Requirements, Testing, Deployment, and User Support
- Gather and document business and functional requirements with senior developers, business analysts, stakeholders, and end users.
- Translate approved requirements into technical tasks, user stories, configuration activities, and development assignments.
- Participate in solution demonstrations, technical reviews, user acceptance testing, stakeholder feedback sessions, and production-deployment activities.
- Provide user support for Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, and knowledge-management solutions.
- Develop or maintain user guides, job aids, standard operating procedures, training materials, and technical documentation.
- Train staff on Power Apps, automated workflows, Power BI dashboards, SharePoint sites, and knowledge-management systems.
- Perform other duties and related tasks as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing Microsoft Power Platform solutions in a Department of Defense, federal Government, healthcare, or other regulated environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Dataverse, Power Platform connectors, data gateways, solution management, and application lifecycle management across development, testing, and production environments.
- Experience developing Power BI data models, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) measures, and Power Query transformations.
- Experience with SharePoint Online site pages, lists, libraries, permissions, and content management.
- Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements and accessible dashboard or application design.
- Experience developing technical documentation, user guides, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
- Experience supporting user acceptance testing and production deployments.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices, user stories, sprint planning, and backlog management.
