We're looking for an experienced Saw Operator to join our pallet manufacturing team on 1st shift! This is a temp-to-hire position with a clear path to permanent employment for reliable, hardworking employees.
Pay:
- Day 30: $18.00/hr
- Day 60: $18.50/hr
- Day 90: $19.00/hr
- Eligible for direct hire after 90 days upon successfully meeting evaluation expectations
Schedule: 1st Shift (Day) 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Operate saws (table saw, chop saw, etc.) to cut lumber to specified sizes for pallet production
- Read and follow cut sheets/measurements accurately
- Inspect boards for defects and quality before and after cutting
- Perform basic blade maintenance and report equipment issues
- Maintain a clean and safe work area around cutting stations
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper PPE and machine guarding practices
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating saws in a manufacturing/woodworking environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in a fast-paced environment for full shift
- Strong attention to detail and measurement accuracy
- Reliable transportation and attendance
- Must be able to pass a background check
