Caregiver Supervisor / Lead Caregiver Trainer

Service Area
This is a field-based position serving clients throughout Orange County, including Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, Santa Ana, Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach, Garden Grove, Westminster, and surrounding communities. Reliable transportation is required.
Position Summary
As a Caregiver Supervisor, you will travel to multiple client homes each day to provide hands-on care, train and mentor caregivers, perform supervisory visits, assist with new client starts, and help cover open shifts to ensure continuity of care. This position requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to care for clients with varying levels of need.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Travel to multiple client homes throughout the day.
- Train, mentor, and coach new and existing caregivers.
- Conduct supervisory visits, caregiver evaluations, and quality assurance checks.
- Assist with caregiver orientation and field training.
- Cover scheduled, open, and emergency caregiver shifts as needed.
- Assist with new client starts and care plan implementation.
- Observe and report changes in client condition.
- Safely assist with transfers using gait belts, Hoyer lifts, and other mobility equipment.
- Transport clients to appointments and errands when needed.
- Complete accurate documentation and communicate with clients, families, caregivers, and office staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional caregiving experience in home care, assisted living, skilled nursing, or a related healthcare setting.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or caregiver training experience preferred.
- Flexible availability, including weekdays, weekends, and emergency shift coverage.
- Valid California driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
- Current Home Care Aide (HCA) registration.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and safely assist with client transfers.
