Full Job Description

Job Overview

Central Coast Lymphedema & Wound Care is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator / Physical Therapy Aide to join our growing outpatient practice.

This position combines front office responsibilities with clinical support. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, enjoys working with people, and is comfortable balancing administrative tasks with assisting clinicians throughout the day.

Responsibilities Patient Care Coordination

Welcome patients and provide a professional, friendly first impression
Answer incoming phone calls and return messages
Schedule and confirm patient appointments
Verify insurance information and obtain authorizations as assigned
Collect copayments and update patient information
Maintain accurate electronic medical records
Coordinate physician orders and required documentation
Communicate with physicians' offices, patients, and medical equipment vendors
Assist with compression garment and medical equipment order tracking
Scan, upload, and organize patient documents

Physical Therapy Aide Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms between patients
Clean and disinfect treatment tables and equipment
Stock treatment supplies and maintain clinic organization
Assist therapists with patient flow and non-clinical treatment setup
Assist with garment fittings and patient education after appropriate training
Package and prepare medical equipment and garments for shipment
Help maintain inventory and receive incoming deliveries
Perform general clinic support duties to keep patient care running smoothly

Qualifications

Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Comfortable using computers and learning new software
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain on your feet throughout much of the workday

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a medical office, physical therapy clinic, or other healthcare setting
Front office or scheduling experience
Insurance verification experience
Physical therapy aide experience

Healthcare experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
