Full Job Description

Coastal Skin & Eye Institute is a comprehensive ophthalmology and dermatology practice located in Encinitas. We are searching for a full time front desk medical assistant to join our growing team! Our ideal candidate is willing to learn, self-driven, patient-centered, motivated, and reliable.

Applicant must possess a Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinating all paper work with the patient, physicians and surgery centers
- Coordinating all the pre and post op appointments and surgeries for several physicians
- Create a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere for patients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Data entry, insurance verification, prior authorization requests
- Well-organized with attention to detail and ability to efficiently multitask
- Management of multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
- Answering and triaging a multi-line phone system
- Scheduling appointments for multiple providers

Background in ophthalmology and dermatology preferred.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.50 per hour
