JOB DESCRIPTION Title: Admissions Coordinator (Onsite) Reports to: Director of Admissions Employment Type: Full-Time FLSA Status: Exempt Overview: The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for working directly with prospective clients and families on intake/inquiry calls, coordinating screenings, and admissions. Responsibilities: General Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Answers inquiry calls efficiently and courteously Answers any questions callers may have that are of a non-clinical nature regarding the facility programming Knowledgeable of the phases, length, and cost of each portion of the program. Completes inquiry call forms on every prospective client Coordinates and schedules prospective client preadmission assessments Coordinates and processes all admissions to the facility Responsible for obtaining demographic and financial information during inquiry calls Verifies insurance information as necessary and effectively communicates this to the responsible party Responsible for mailing or emailing program literature when requested Ensures the preadmission assessment has been completed 24-36 hours prior to admission Able to provide intervention, referrals, and other community resource information Provides facility tours to prospective clients and/or families as needed Participates in on call rotation to ensure 24-hour admission coverage Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with all state and federal regulatory standards, and for the dignity and respect of the client Perform VOB if required Notify all staff of admission. Work with Admissions leadership to ensure company standards are followed consistently and accurately with each prospective admission. Tracks referral ins and google searches. Abide by MMK Trio code of conduct ethics and model values Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences Computer literacy is required; must be able to use Word, Excel, send/receive email Different or additional responsibilities and general duties may be assigned in the sole discretion of management. This Job Description may be amended in the sole discretion of management. Qualifications:   Required: High school graduate or General Equivalency Degree (GED); and minimum of 2 years of admissions related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with and understanding of medical terminology Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos Aptitude for effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization as needed Knowledge of the industry practices Must be proficient working with Microsoft word and Excel Ability to work independently while being a team player Excellent organizational skills Skilled at maintaining excellent quality in a fast-paced work environment Strong interpersonal communication skills, able to effectively communicate with prospective clients, their loved ones, medical staff, and co-workers Adept at troubleshooting and problem solving Above average attention to detail Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, and multi-task assignments to meet scheduled deadlines Attend and participate in staff development and general staff meetings Ability to pass background check Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation Two years of sobriety, if recovering Desired: Associates Degree One-year experience with 12-step programs This job description requires a 30 day notice, if resigning.
