Overview

Join our dynamic automotive team as an Auto Body Estimator, where your expertise will drive exceptional customer service and accurate damage assessments. In this vital role, you will evaluate vehicle repairs, communicate estimates clearly to clients, and collaborate with technicians to ensure quality repairs. Your mechanical knowledge and estimating skills will help streamline processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to the overall success of our collision repair operation. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity for those passionate about automotive repair and client service.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough vehicle damage assessments using computer-aided estimating software and manual inspection techniques.
Must have experience using CCCONE.
Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates, including parts, labor, and materials costs.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair procedures, costs, and timelines, ensuring a positive experience.
Collaborate with technicians and management to prioritize repairs and coordinate workflow efficiently.
Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, suspension work, brake repairs, shocks & struts, transmissions, and other automotive repairs when appropriate.
Maintain clear documentation of estimates, repair orders, and client interactions while ensuring all records are up-to-date.
Assist in managing customer inquiries related to vehicle repair status and provide exceptional service throughout the repair process.

Requirements

Proven experience in auto estimating software and collision repair processes; dealership or auto body shop experience is highly preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a mechanic or service technician.
Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems (including transmissions, suspension, brakes), and vehicle maintenance procedures.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to clients.
Ability to upsell additional services confidently while maintaining integrity and professionalism.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential for client interactions.
Knowledge of computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools such as CCC ONE.
Cash handling experience is beneficial for managing payments or deposits related to estimates.
Mechanical aptitude combined with automotive repair background enhances your ability to assess damages accurately.
