Bookkeeper / Administrator

SkyRight Roofing & Gutters
Sandpoint, Idaho
Part-Time: 25–32 hours per week
$20–$30 per hour, depending on experience

About SkyRight

SkyRight Roofing & Gutters is a growing roofing and construction company serving North Idaho. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Administrator to join our administrative team and take ownership of our day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll, employee administration, and several construction-related back-office functions.

This is an important role within the company. The ideal candidate is organized, trustworthy, comfortable working independently, and takes pride in keeping financial and employee records accurate and up to date.

What You'll DoBookkeeping & Accounting

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online
Enter, code, and pay vendor bills
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports
Assist with job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) tracking
Manage credit card expense coding and receipt documentation
Track vendor 1099 information and coordinate year-end 1099 filings
Coordinate year-end close activities with our CPA/tax accountant

Payroll & Employee Administration

Process payroll accurately and on schedule
Administer 401(k) and healthcare benefits
Track PTO and sick time
Handle garnishment and child-support withholding when applicable
Manage employee onboarding and offboarding
Maintain accurate and organized employee files

Insurance & Compliance

Assist with Workers' Compensation and General Liability insurance administration
Track Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for subcontractors
Track business license and permit renewals

Construction & Subcontractor Support

Assist with builder billing
Follow up on accounts receivable
Track and administer lien-related documentation
Assist with subcontractor onboarding
Collect and maintain W-9s for subcontractors

General Administrative Support

Manage software subscriptions and recurring vendor bills
Process expense reports
Provide additional administrative support to the team as needed

What We're Looking For

Previous bookkeeping and payroll experience
Experience with QuickBooks Online
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organization and time-management skills
Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information professionally
Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
Strong communication skills
Construction industry or subcontractor accounting experience is a plus
Notary Public certification is preferred
