Full Job Description

We are looking for a full-time Pantry Cook to assist our Executive Chef with our dinner operations at The Idaho Club. The Pantry Cook prepares a variety of food products, including salads, appetizers, and desserts according to the club's standard recipes using a variety of equipment. The Pantry Cook will also assist with dishwashing and closing. The Idaho Club is a semi-private golf club featuring a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course and a casual, fine dining restaurant that is open to the public. The clubhouse is situated along the Pack River and offers the best views in North Idaho.

Responsibilities

Take inventory of all items required for stations and determine those items that require preparation.
Set-up, maintains and break down prep cook stations.
Prepare food items according to standard recipes.
Coordinates and times orders with other kitchen operations. Ensure that food comes out simultaneously in high quality and in a timely fashion.
Notifies Chef or Sous Chef of expected shortages.
Ensures that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary.
Covers, dates and neatly store all leftover products that are re-usable.
Answer, report and follow Executive Chef or Sous Chef’s instructions
Closes the kitchen properly using the closing checklist.
Stock inventory appropriately
Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Skills

At least one-year proven kitchen experience as a pantry or prep cook in a casual or upscale dining restaurant environment
Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Familiar with industry’s best practices

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
