Full Job Description

***WORK FOR THE LARGEST PRIVATELY HELD AUTOMOTIVE DEALER GROUP IN NORTHWEST OHIO!***

Baumann Auto Group is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Dealership Accounting Clerk to join our team. This role is essential in managing the financial transactions related to vehicle deals, ensuring accurate processing of car sales, title work, and related accounting functions.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Process vehicle deals by accurately entering data into accounting software
Prepare and review journal entries related to car sales, trade-ins, and financing transactions.
Reconcile accounts receivable and payable accounts associated with dealership transactions.
Assist in balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to maintain financial accuracy.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and industry regulations

Job Qualifications:

Experience in automotive accounting or a similar finance role within a dealership environment.
Proficiency with accounting software
Strong understanding of GAAP, governmental accounting standards, and technical accounting principles.
Knowledge of title processing, account reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping practices.
Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy
Ability to interpret financial concepts and perform account analysis confidently.
