TransPremier is looking for a Skid Steer Operator to join our Milling and Clean-up division. He/she will be responsible for operating the assigned skid steer in a safe and efficient manner to ensure that jobsites are clear of debris and safe for road clean-up operations. The ideal candidate is detail and task-oriented and excels in quick-paced, high-pressure situations under extreme weather conditions. The candidate must have a flexible schedule and be able to work days, nights, and/or weekends at various local locations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Prepare a safe work area by removing unwanted debris and materials from work sites
Operate skid steer in tight spaces and in close proximity to other equipment and public safety
Be a team player and work alongside fellow road clean-up crew members
Synchronize with fellow team members, customers, and milling machine operators
Operate milling head attachment to mill curbs and manholes and cut new joints
Complete daily equipment inspections
Maintain skid steer cabin clean and tidy at all times
Completely empty and clean out skid steer attachment after each shift
Operate other equipment and tools as needed to ensure the completion of the assigned project
Wear PPE at all times, in accordance with company safety policy
Comply with last minute dispatch changes
Other duties as assigned
Report directly to Field Foreman and Superintendent

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

At least 1 year of previous related experience required
Familiarity with safe entering, exiting, maneuvering, traveling, and working with ALL attachments, including milling head, broom, bucket
Dependability & flexibility; a complete crew determines the success of this operation
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under extreme weather conditions
Strong knowledge of asphalt operations and DOT regulations
Ability to receive and implement feedback
Ability to repeatedly move/lift at least 75 lbs. and climb in and out of heavy equipment
Ability to work and maintain alert around dirt, dust, and noise associated with heavy equipment, and during all weather conditions
May require sitting, standing or walking for extended periods of time
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment
Professional, courteous, and safety-driven work ethic
Strong customer service skills
Great communication skills
Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position based at our Orlando, FL location.
