Job Description

The Mail Room Specialist I reports to the Mail Room Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

Priming of payment to customer accounts.
Updating customer accounts accordingly after accounting procedures.
Retrieve and deliver mail to local PO Box.
Gain experience concerning mail operations within TFA.
Sort and collate mail.
Handle and sort physical checks, money orders, and cash.
Prepare batches for deposit to remittance specialist.
Scan non-payment related correspondence and paperwork.
Fold and insert outbound mail for delivery.
Record inbound & outbound mail data.
Time/date stamp incoming mail.
Process returned mail & update customer accounts accordingly.

Skills and Qualifications

Has the capacity to work with minimal supervision.
Able to make routine decisions regarding day-to-day procedures.
Capable of solving complex problems.
General computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
Capacity to operate mail room equipment such as postage meters, letter openers, and the like.
Intermediate knowledge to troubleshoot issues. Capacity to express creative solutions to basic problems.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED

Compensation

The starting base salary for this Fresno position is expected to be between $17.75 to $19.00 per hour. Actual pay rate will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
