We acquire, manage, and enhance properties through a fully integrated platform that includes in-house leasing, construction, and property management teams.

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Space Planner to join our team and support the leasing and tenant improvement process across our office portfolio. This role is the bridge between tenant vision and buildable reality — translating space requirements into well-reasoned, code-compliant floor plans that work for tenants and meet landlord objectives.

The Space Planner will work closely with our leasing, construction, and property management teams, as well as directly with tenants, brokers, and outside architects. The right candidate is technically proficient, stakeholder-savvy, and brings a practical eye for optimizing commercial space.

What You’ll Do

Space Planning & Design

Review, interpret, and analyze architectural drawings, floor plans, and lease exhibits to develop tailored space configurations and test fits
Create detailed space plans and layouts using AutoCAD; proficiency with Revit or SketchUp is a bonus
Develop furniture layouts, construction plans, and blocking/stacking diagrams for tenant and construction team review
Conduct site visits to verify field conditions and collect measurements for accurate plan development

Tenant & Stakeholder Collaboration

Collaborate with tenants, brokers, architects, and landlord teams to understand and refine space requirements and project goals
Present space plan options clearly, explaining trade-offs and recommending alternatives that balance tenant needs with landlord standards
Facilitate productive dialogue across diverse stakeholders — from tenants unfamiliar with technical drawings to experienced architects and contractors

Problem-Solving & Quality Control

Identify potential issues — circulation conflicts, code constraints, adjacency concerns — early in the process and propose actionable solutions
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to incorporate design requirements and project constraints into space plans
Maintain and update space plan documentation, ensuring version control and alignment with project milestones

Reporting & Presentation Support

Assist in preparing design presentation materials and space plan reports for internal and external meetings
Stay current on space planning standards, ergonomic considerations, building codes, and Commercial Real Estate industry trends

About You
You are a detail-oriented design professional who thrives in a fast-paced commercial environment. You can move comfortably from a lease exhibit to a finished test-fit, bring sound judgment about what makes a space work, and communicate your reasoning clearly to tenants, brokers, and internal teams alike.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field preferred
Proven experience in space planning, architectural drafting, or a related commercial real estate design role
Proficiency with AutoCAD; experience with Revit, SketchUp, or similar space planning tools is a plus
Strong ability to read, interpret, and analyze blueprints, architectural plans, and technical drawings
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex spatial concepts to diverse audiences
Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to identifying effective alternatives
Attention to detail and organizational ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Familiarity with building codes, ADA requirements, and zoning standards
Experience in office and/or industrial commercial real estate environments preferred
Knowledge of commercial real estate leasing practices and tenant requirements is a plus
Valid California driver's license preferred; role requires periodic site visits to property locations across the portfolio

· Compensation

Base Salary Range: $75,000 – $110,000

Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
