Quill & Arrow, LLP – Law Clerk (Recent Law Grads Welcome)

Quill & Arrow is California’s leading plaintiff-side lemon law firm, representing consumers in high-impact automotive litigation across the state. We’re looking for a driven, detail‑oriented Law Clerk who wants real responsibility, hands‑on training, and daily mentorship from experienced trial attorneys.

About the Role

As a Law Clerk at Quill & Arrow, you won’t be stuck doing busywork. You’ll be embedded on an active litigation team and will see cases move from intake to resolution in a fast‑paced environment. You’ll gain firsthand exposure to motion practice, discovery strategy, negotiation, and trial preparation - all with structured guidance and feedback.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct targeted legal research and analysis on state and federal consumer law, civil procedure, and evidence.
Draft and revise substantive legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests/responses, and settlement communications.
Review and summarize deposition transcripts, expert reports, court filings, and key client records to support case strategy.
Organize and maintain digital and physical case files, ensuring that deadlines, court orders, and discovery obligations are tracked and met.
Assist attorneys with client communications, including intake interviews, status updates, and preparation for testimony.
Support trial and hearing preparation (witness outlines, exhibit lists, demonstratives, trial binders, and logistics).
Attend mediations, court hearings, and internal strategy meetings to observe and participate in real‑time advocacy.
Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to streamline workflow and improve systems.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) or recent law graduate; strong candidates with a B.A. and substantial legal experience will also be considered.

Excellent legal writing and editing skills, with close attention to detail and citation accuracy.
Comfort using legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, Lexis, Fastcase) and standard office software.
Highly organized, able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑moving environment.
Professional communication skills and strong client‑service mindset.
Familiarity with litigation practice, court rules, and legal terminology; prior clerkship or law‑firm experience is a plus but not required.
