Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join and lead our Bookkeeping team. The ideal candidate will be proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and have a solid understanding of financial concepts, including double entry bookkeeping. The Accountant should have an interest in tax accounting and be Bilingual to support our various clients. Duties include year-end closure, quarterly sales tax reports, balancing/reconciling accounts monthly, and other annual reports. Experience in Payroll is a bonus.

Duties

Manage Quickbooks for multiple companies
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Perform general ledger accounting and ensure accurate account reconciliation across multiple accounts.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling.
Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.
Record journal entries accurately using accounting software such as QuickBooks or other relevant platforms.
Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities in financial data.

Experience

Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Proseries or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger management.
Knowledge of tax regulations and experience handling tax-related tasks is preferred.
Prepare and distribute sales tax returns.
Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks.
