Full Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pastry Decorator to join our team. This role is focused on the finishing, decoration, and presentation of cakes, pastries, and plated desserts. The ideal candidate has a steady hand, a strong aesthetic sense, and a passion for delivering beautiful, consistent products that meet high-quality standards.

This is a key position in maintaining the visual identity and excellence of our pastry program.

Key Responsibilities

Execute cake and pastry decoration with precision (piping, glazing, garnishing, lettering, etc.)
Finish pastries and desserts according to company standards and seasonal designs
Assist with plating desserts for service when needed
Maintain consistency in appearance, portioning, and quality
Work closely with the pastry and kitchen teams to ensure timely production
Prepare and organize tools, piping bags, and finishing components
Follow recipes, decoration guides, and plating instructions accurately
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation
Support production team as needed during slower finishing periods

Requirements

Previous experience in pastry arts, baking, or food production is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
Knowledge of cake decorating techniques and food handling practices.
Basic kitchen skills including knife handling, food preparation, and baking techniques.
Strong attention to detail with an eye for presentation and quality control.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and support customer service when needed.
