Full Job Description

Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Apprentice and kickstart your career in the electrical industry! This paid apprenticeship offers a hands-on learning experience, combining practical work on construction sites with comprehensive training in electrical systems. You'll work alongside experienced electricians, gaining valuable skills in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical components across various projects. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their expertise in both low and high voltage systems within residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Responsibilities

Assist licensed electricians with installation, wiring, and maintenance of electrical systems on construction sites
Use hand tools and power tools to cut, strip, and connect electrical wires and components accurately
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support project execution
Conduct basic testing of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to ensure proper functionality
Support the setup of low voltage and high voltage systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while learning about framing carpentry and other construction trades

Skills

Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is a plus
Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment like ohmmeters
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
Basic understanding of low voltage (such as data or alarm systems) and high voltage electrical systems
Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety and efficiency
Knowledge of NEC standards for electrical installations and wiring practices
Ability to learn quickly, follow instructions carefully, and communicate effectively with team members
