A rapidly growing, commercial millwork fabrication and interior finishes company is expanding its national footprint and seeking a Director of Sales to lead business development, open new markets, and build a scalable sales function.
This is a high-impact role for a proven operator who can both win work and build structure - someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and wants to help shape how a company grows.
The Opportunity
You will be responsible for driving national expansion by developing new client relationships, securing strategic accounts, and building a repeatable sales engine.
This role offers autonomy, visibility to executive leadership, and the opportunity to influence go-to-market strategy in a business that is scaling quickly.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute national sales strategies to drive revenue growth
- Identify and open new markets across key regions (Midwest, West, and beyond)
- Generate, manage, and convert a strong pipeline of new business opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, architects, designers, and end users
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients and strategic accounts
- Partner with estimating and operations teams to align scope, pricing, and execution
- Represent capabilities across interior finishes including millwork, metals, and specialty products
- Provide market insights to inform growth strategy
- Help build and scale the sales function, including process and infrastructure
- Maintain strong CRM discipline and reporting
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of sales / business development experience in construction, architectural products, or interior finishes
- Experience in millwork, casework, or related trades strongly preferred
- Proven ability to open doors, win work, and build long-term client relationships
- Experience selling into commercial construction environments
- Strong understanding of project lifecycles, estimating, and award processes
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter with a builder mindset who thrives in less structured environments

Compensation: 100k-150k base + incentive DOE
Travel: Up to ~50%
