We are a boutique law firm in Healdsburg serving clients across Sonoma County, the North Bay, and beyond, with a primary focus on civil litigation, and probate, as well as transactional work in real property, business law, and mergers and acquisitions. As a small, dedicated team, each person here plays an essential role in our success.

About YouYou are a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented paralegal with strong litigation experience. You are comfortable supporting attorneys through the full litigation process, including pleadings, discovery, calendaring, deadlines, case organization, and trial preparation. You work independently but appreciate being part of a collaborative team. You are proactive in anticipating needs, able to stay ahead of deadlines, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. You bring a steady, professional presence to your work and are comfortable adapting your support style to attorneys at different levels of experience, from newly licensed to attorneys with over 30 years of practice. You are looking for a long-term opportunity with room to grow your responsibilities and expand your expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, client records, and litigation materials
Manage court calendaring, deadlines, and internal firm calendars
Draft pleadings, correspondence, and litigation-related legal documents
Assist in preparation of discovery requests and responses
Conduct legal research and prepare clear written summaries
Assist with civil litigation matters, including real property, business, personal injury and probate matters
Investigate and organize facts, documents, and case information
Support all attorneys as needed in litigation and transactional matters.

Strong litigation support experience, including discovery, pleadings, calendaring, and deadline management
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive positive mindset
Ability to work independently while staying connected to the team
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Comfort working with attorneys at different experience levels
Comfort in a small-firm environment with a Monday–Friday schedule, while understanding that urgent matters or deadlines may occasionally require evening or weekend work
Desire for professional growth, including increasing responsibility and meaningful case involvement
Respect for confidentiality, accuracy, and high-quality work

Qualifications

Minimum of three years of civil litigation experience as a paralegal
Familiarity with civil litigation procedures
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and case-management software
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain accurate records
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Work EnvironmentOur office provides a quiet, professional setting in Healdsburg within walking distance of the historic city square, with a supportive team and a culture built on communication, reliability, and shared purpose. This role works closely with attorneys across a wide range of experience levels, from newly admitted attorneys to attorneys with decades of practice. The right person will be comfortable adapting to different working styles while helping maintain consistency, organization, and forward movement across cases. While the role generally follows a steady Monday–Friday schedule, there may be times when case demands, deadlines, or urgent matters require additional availability, including evenings or weekends.

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
