Experienced PM Line Cook at The View Restaurant- $25.00 - $30.00/hour (dependent on experience)

The Mirror Lake Inn is seeking motivated and professional cooks to join our culinary team at The View Restaurant located at Lake Placid’s finest resort.

The View Restaurant is an AAA Four Diamond and DiRONA rated restaurant known for its locally influenced fine dining menus. This position is ideal for experienced line cooks looking to grow in a professional, high-quality culinary environment. This position provide opportunities to work with a supportive team in a clean, professional kitchen environment with opportunities for growth and advancement. Full-time and part-time year-round positions are available.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up and prepare kitchen stations for service
Prepare menu items and customer orders accurately and efficiently
Cook food according to recipes and chef specifications
Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs with daily kitchen operations
Prepare necessary food items for daily service
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
Follow all sanitation regulations, allergy protocols, and safety standards
Clean and sanitize equipment and workstations during and after service
Monitor temperatures of hot and cold food items to ensure safety and quality
Break down stations and properly close the kitchen at the end of shifts
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

REQUIREMENTS

Previous kitchen or cooking experience required; fine dining experience is a plus for The View
Culinary Arts education or training is beneficial
Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and kitchen procedures
Ability to work efficiently in both fast-paced and high-volume restaurant environments
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards
Professional, dependable, and positive attitude
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Friendly, team and customer oriented
Desire and willingness to learn, grow, and develop culinary skills
