Full Job Description

This position will require the individual to contact individuals, on a regular basis, to effectively reduce exposure to financial losses caused by delinquent accounts. Activities must be conducted in compliance with federal and state regulations. Other duties will include member services, report preparation, other duties as needed.

Duties:

1. Review reports and the system to determine best collection efforts to effectively collect monies owed.

2. Communicate with individuals on past due accounts either by telephone, written communication or in person.

3. Notate all activity in the collection software. Maintains regular follow-up schedule.

4. Recommends payment deferrals, repossessions, foreclosures etc.

5. Research incoming ACH files for payments etc.

6. Ensures accurate reporting to credit bureaus and utilizes skip tracing services as necessary.

7. Files small claims court paperwork. Lead contact with collection attorneys.

8. Process CPI, GAP and Credit Life and Credit Disability claims.

9. Recommend charge-off accounts to the Vice President.

10. Must be comfortable giving presentations at business events.

11. Attend civic functions and volunteer at corporate sponsored events.

12. Assist in opening or closing accounts, answering incoming calls etc.

13. Assist in gathering information for loans.

14. All other duties as assigned.

Must possess the following:

1. Ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision.

2. Good organizational and time-management skills.

4. Thorough knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.

5. Ability to work independently.

6. Ability to maintain strict confidence of information entrusted to the position.

7. Communicate effectively and professionally in writing and verbally.

8. Ability to complete multiple tasks in tight time frames.

9. Professional appearance and friendly with others at all times.

10. Problem solving and decision-making skills.

11. Working knowledge of Fair Credit Act, Regulation B, Regulation Z, Florida Repossession Laws, Litigation and Judicial Procedures, Fair Debt Collections Practice Act etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
