Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Baker to join our vibrant bakery team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft delicious baked goods, develop creative pastry presentations, and contribute to our high-volume food production. The ideal candidate will bring culinary expertise, attention to detail, and a positive attitude to help us deliver outstanding pastries that delight our customers every day.

Duties

Prepare a variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, cookies, and other confections with precision and consistency
Finish pastries using various techniques such as piping and frosting to create visually appealing desserts
Follow recipes meticulously to ensure quality and adherence to food safety standards
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, slicers, and pastry tools
Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to sanitation protocols and food handling regulations
Package baked goods securely for retail display or catering orders while ensuring presentation quality
Support food preparation processes by measuring ingredients accurately using basic math skills and assisting in high-volume production tasks

Qualifications

Proven pastry preparation experience in a fast-paced bakery or food industry environment
An eye for detail and presentation
Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in baking techniques for various baked goods
Experience with food production, catering, or high-volume baking is highly desirable
Good organizational skills with the ability to follow recipes precisely and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Customer service mindset with a positive attitude toward teamwork and collaboration
