JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently looking for a Quality Control (QC) Technician to join our team in our head office and manufacturing facility in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Summary/Objective
The lab technician (Lab Tech) is a member of the Quality Control Team. As a member of the QC team, Lab Tech is responsible for laboratory activities to ensure GMP-compliant testing, data integrity (ALCOA+), timely release decisions, and audit readiness. The Lab Tech operates and maintains UPLC, Ion Chromatography, Metrohm Titrator, spectrophotometer, and balances; owns method lifecycle, specifications, and continuous improvement. The lab technician supports laboratory staff by maintaining glassware; maintaining logs and record books; troubleshooting and resolving problems; helping with special projects (consistent with established standards, customer specifications, and production goals).

1. Ensure an important level of internal and external customer service by leading timely investigations and corrective actions for quality-related complaints or issues.
2. QC operations, setting priorities, service levels, and resource allocation.
3. Performing sampling, inspection, and testing to ensure productivity, data integrity, and technical accuracy.
4. Develop and analyze statistical data, test results, and product specifications to establish and maintain quality and reliability standards.
5. Ensure full compliance with cGMP, federal and state regulations, internal standards, and data integrity principles (ALCOA+).
6. Oversee testing across all stages of production (incoming/raw materials, in-process testing, and finished product release) to verify conformance to specifications.
7. Review and approve Certificates of Analysis and ensure completeness, accuracy, and regulatory defensibility of all QC data packages.
8. Maintain and verify calibration, qualification, and accuracy of QC laboratory equipment in accordance with established procedures.
9. Manage raw material qualification requirements, supplier test expectations, and final raw material approvals.
10. Partner with R&D, Production, and Quality Assurance on method development needs, sampling plans, specification alignment, and risk-based testing strategies.

- Stamina: Lab technicians work long days on their feet, sometimes hunched over a workstation for lengthy periods of time.
- Technical Skill: Lab techs need to understand complex lab machinery and computer programs used to conduct tests.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have any management responsibilities.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. (6:00 AM – 2:30PM)
Preferred Education and Experience
- BS/BA in Chemistry or related field
- 1-3 years in GMP QC laboratory
- Direct expertise with UPLC and ion chromatography; experience with Metrohm titration and spectrophotometry.
- Demonstrated competency in investigations, CAPA, change control, and data integrity (ALCOA+).
- Familiarity with ERP management (Chempax and Oracle or similar) oversight
