Job Description:

As a cook, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents by:

Preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences
Ensuring meals are served safely, on time, and at the appropriate temperature
Creating a positive and enjoyable dining experience for residents
Following facility menus and accommodating special dietary requirements (e.g., low-sodium, diabetic)
Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment, and dining areas
Practicing proper food handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with health and safety guidelines
Monitoring kitchen inventory and assisting with food and supply orders, including proper stock rotation
Collaborating with the dietary team to support the overall health and well-being of our residents

Prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals for residents
Work as part of a collaborative dietary team

Job Type:
Full-time and part-time

Hours:
Must be flexible to work both shifts between 6 am – 7:30 pm. The role may require working evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed to meet the dietary needs of residents.

Pay:
Starting at $19.00/hour – $21.25/hour max based upon experience for up to 5 years
Starting at $22.00/hour – $25.25/hour max based upon experience for 5+ years
$500.00 Sign-on Bonus

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Proven experience as a Cook; experience in large-scale or institutional kitchens preferred
Previous experience in an assisted living, nursing home, or healthcare setting is highly desirable
Familiarity with preparing meals for special diets (e.g., low-sodium, diabetic, texture-modified)
Ability to follow standardized recipes and meal plans
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
Capacity to work in a fast-paced kitchen, both independently and as part of a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine passion for serving seniors and contributing to their well-being
