Job Title: Storage Facility – Weekend Assistant Manager (Part-Time)

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Assistant Manager (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) for our storage facility, with a strong emphasis on property upkeep and light maintenance.

This is a part-time, in-person role responsible for ensuring the facility remains clean, secure, and tenant-ready while providing basic operational support and occasional customer service.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining a well-kept property, and is comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities

Facility & Grounds Maintenance

Conduct regular walkthroughs to inspect units, common areas, and overall property condition.
Perform light maintenance tasks such as debris removal, sweeping units, changing light bulbs, and minor repairs.
Maintain cleanliness of the facility, including outdoor grounds and indoor common areas.
Identify and report larger maintenance concerns to weekday management.
Assist with preventative maintenance routines to reduce downtime.

Operations & Security

Open and close the facility during weekend shifts.
Monitor security systems and perform gate/lock checks.
Address and report any safety or security issues.
Ensure vacant units are clean, functional, and ready for new tenants.

Customer Service & Tenant Support

Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants during weekend hours.
Assist with unit rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and account-related inquiries.
Process payments and manage tenant interactions using facility management software.
Address tenant concerns, including unit access, lock replacements, and general inquiries.
Coordinate U-Haul rentals for customers and manage a limited inventory of vehicles.

Administrative Tasks

Maintain logs of inspections, maintenance activities, and supply usage.
Coordinate with Facility Manager regarding needed repairs or supply restocking.
Follow company safety protocols and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in maintenance or a related field preferred.
Experience: 1+ years of experience in facility maintenance, groundskeeping, or property management preferred.
Skills: Hands-on repair and maintenance skills; strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Certifications: Forklift certification required (company will provide certification class at no cost if needed).
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs., work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform physical labor.
Other: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; must pass background and security checks.

Location: Seattle, WA 98125
Schedule: This position requires working every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Expected Hours: ~24 hours/week
Pay: $23.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
