Your role and responsibilities
In this role as Master Production Scheduler, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for conversion of supply plan into a master production schedule which can be executed. Each day, you will translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule. You will also showcase your expertise by establishing key performance indicators of master plan accuracy.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Schedule Development & Maintenance: Translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a time‑phased build schedule, ensuring accuracy and adherence to KPI; Demand & Capacity Planning: Identify current demand levels, create tactical production plans, and calculate production lead times
Load Levelling & Bottleneck Management: Apply load‑leveling techniques and Theory of Constraints (TOC) to balance capacity and improve scheduling accuracy; MRP & Work Order Management: Execute daily plant‑level MRP to generate production requirements, release manufacturing work orders, and manage MRP exception messages
Sequence & Lead Time Optimization: Establish operation sequences and lead times to meet shipment dates per the master schedule; Performance Tracking: Monitor schedule adherence, identify root causes of deviations, and implement improvement actions
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work with functional managers, local and regional Planning & Fulfillment teams, customer service, and material planners to resolve issues and share planning parameters; Reporting: Assemble master schedule reports covering performance against business, shipment, inventory, and production plans
