Full Job Description

Job Overview

This is a full-time position

Looking for individuals who are seeking long-term employment and growth opportunities with our company.

Lead assigned engineering resources to translate customer requirements into compliant, manufacturable production processes. This role supports PAC’s business objectives by ensuring engineering planning, documentation, technical support, and customer-specific program execution are completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with production and quality requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

§ Manage the Engineering Department’s priorities, performance and development.

§ New work introduction / production readiness

§ Manage manufacturing processes as required by customer purchase orders, drawings, and specifications.

§ Manage the development and implementation of engineering procedures.

§ Manage manufacturing planning for each product/part number.

§ Review proposed projects for manufacturing process compatibility and costs.

§ Manage Quoting Activities.

§ Continuous improvement / other duties as assigned

Skills:

§ Manage the Engineering Department’s priorities, performance and development.

§ New work introduction / production readiness

§ Manage manufacturing processes as required by customer purchase orders, drawings, and specifications.

§ Manage manufacturing planning for each product/part number.

Minimum Educational Qualifications

§ Associate of Applied Science Degree in Engineering Technology or, a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (non-civil).

§ Education related to composite materials a plus.

§ Five (5) years of leadership experience in an aerospace manufacturer’s Engineering Department (If AA degree achieved)

§ Two (2) years of leadership experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar position. (If BA degree achieved)

§ Experience in a composite manufacturing environment a plus.

§ Effective and timely communication with all organizational levels.

§ Ability to process information accurately and pay attention to detail.

§ Must be able to work with all types of personalities;

§ Must have leadership qualities that enhance the effectiveness of the engineering department.

§ Must be comfortable enforcing company rules and policies.

§ Working knowledge of Windows based computer systems and CAD/CAM software.

§ Ability to read and interpret complex aerospace blueprints and specifications.

§ Ability to work within tightly controlled deadlines and under stressful conditions.

Decision Making:

§ Prioritize engineering workload to support production and customer schedules.

§ Determine manufacturability recommendations and process approach for assigned work.

§ Approve or recommend engineering documentation/process changes within authority.

§ Escalate customer specification conflicts, quality risks, or schedule constraints.

§ Meet all scheduled deadlines to support production demand

Working Conditions:

§ Position is primarily sedentary (70%) with activity consisting of sitting at a desk in an office environment, inputting, processing, and analysing computerized data.

§ Physical activity (30%) can consist of any combination of the following functions as needed, working in production areas, which may be dusty and noisy, and may or may not have climate control:

§ Generating and/or collecting data, maintaining hardcopy files, and assisting in general process control and manufacturing engineering duties.

§ Perform visual and other inspections using measuring equipment and tools.

§ Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

§ Walk up to a mile a day.

§ Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, etc)

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
