Full Job Description

Kiara Sky Professional Nails is one of the fastest-growing nail brands in the industry, serving nail professionals and enthusiasts worldwide. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting Team. This position is responsible for supporting accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, reporting, and general accounting functions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable

Maintain and update customer and distributor account records.
Investigate and resolve accounts receivable discrepancies.
Create and maintain monthly sales reports.
Enter and reconcile online sales transactions.
Prepare journal entries as assigned.
Assist with collections and account follow-up as needed.
Reconcile customer payments and deposits.

Accounts Payable

Review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
Obtain appropriate approvals in accordance with company procedures.
Enter invoices and bills into QuickBooks.
Process approved vendor payments through authorized company payment methods.
Maintain accurate records of company credit card transactions and receipts.
Process employee expense reimbursements in accordance with company policy.
Create and maintain unpaid bills and aging reports.
Assist with vendor account reconciliations and issue resolution.

Reconciliations and Reporting

Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other financial records.
Review financial reports and identify discrepancies for management review.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
Prepare reports and supporting documentation requested by external accountants and auditors.
Assist with annual 1099 preparation and reporting.
Support preparation of financial schedules and reconciliations.

Purchasing and Administrative Support

Assist with purchasing office, warehouse, and facility supplies.
Obtain quotes and pricing from vendors as requested.
Maintain organized accounting and financial records.
Process incoming mail related to accounting functions.
Support departmental projects and administrative tasks as assigned.

QualificationsRequired

Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or accounts payable/accounts receivable experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.

Preferred

Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
Experience with QuickBooks.
Experience with ADP or other payroll systems.
Experience supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes.
Knowledge of 1099 reporting requirements.

Fast-paced setting with multiple deadlines and changing priorities.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)
