Full Job Description

Overnight Caregiver – 11 PM–7 AM

Job Overview

Miller Resident Care is looking for a dependable, caring individual to join our team as an Overnight Caregiver. This position focuses on keeping our residents safe and comfortable throughout the night and assisting with morning routines as needed.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, attentive, and able to remain awake and alert throughout the entire overnight shift. No certifications are required for this position.

Responsibilities

Remain awake and alert throughout the entire overnight shift
Complete resident room checks every 2 hours
Respond to resident needs throughout the night
Wake residents in the morning
Assist residents with getting ready in the morning when needed
Complete additional cleaning as needed
Complete laundry when needed
Set up the coffee pot and water pitcher for the morning
Communicate important resident information to other staff
Work cooperatively with the other overnight staff member
Treat residents with patience, kindness, dignity, and respect

Medication Administration

Medication administration is not required for this position. Another staff member on the overnight shift is responsible for medications. Applicants who are already Certified Medication Aides (CMA) may assist with medication duties when appropriate.

Schedule

11:00 PM–7:00 AM
32 hours per week
4 shifts per week
Rotating schedule, including alternating weekends
64 scheduled hours per biweekly pay period
Flexible scheduling and shift changes may be available when coverage allows

Pay

$15.00 per hour
Paid biweekly

Qualifications

No certifications required
CMA certification is welcome but not required
Must be dependable and reliable
Must be able to remain awake and attentive throughout the overnight shift
Comfortable assisting residents with morning routines when needed
Able to work well with coworkers
Caring, patient, and respectful toward residents
