Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Fabricator is responsible for producing high-quality metal components by operating fabrication equipment, performing finishing and plating operations, and reading blueprints to meet production and quality standards. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operate band saws and other fabrication equipment to cut metal to specified dimensions
Perform metal coding/marking per customer and production requirements
Conduct surface finishing processes to ensure proper texture, smoothness, and appearance
Execute plating operations in accordance with work instructions and safety standards
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and prints to ensure accurate fabrication
Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Meet daily production goals and quality expectations

Required

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience with band saw operation
Experience with metal coding/marking
Knowledge of surface finishing techniques
Experience with plating operations
Ability to read and interpret blueprints/prints
Ability to lift up to 65 pounds or more as required
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to stand, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

Previous manufacturing or fabrication experience
Familiarity with metal fabrication safety standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

Regular lifting up to 65 pounds
Standing, walking, bending, and handling materials throughout the shift
