Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients across various care settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living, and home care environments. This role involves direct patient care, vital sign monitoring, and assisting with daily activities to promote patient well-being. Experience with EMR/EHR systems, medical documentation, and a strong understanding of medical terminology are highly valued. The Nursing Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality patient care while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
Support patients with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, behavioral health, or developmental disabilities.
Document patient care activities thoroughly in EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or PCC.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control standards and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care, outpatient clinics, hospice care, or post-acute settings to ensure comprehensive patient support.

Requirements

Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent credential. If you do not have a license, WE CAN HELP YOU!
Prior experience in healthcare settings such as hospitals (including ICU or PICU), nursing homes, hospice, or outpatient clinics is preferred; experience with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or PCC is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques.
Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, behavioral health patients, and individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders.
Experience with specialized care such as Alzheimer’s/dementia/memory care or infectious disease management is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within healthcare teams.
Physical ability to assist with patient mobility and perform tasks requiring lifting or prolonged standing.
