POSITION OVERVIEW

The Escrow Assistant provides support to escrow officers in all phases of real estate closings. This role prepares and reviews documents, communicates with clients, agents, and lenders, and ensures files are accurate, complete, and compliant. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and customer service are essential to deliver smooth and timely transactions.

LOCATION

This position is onsite based in Lacey or Shelton, WA.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist escrow officer with opening, processing, and closing escrow files. Order title commitments, loan payoffs, and other necessary documents. Review and prepare escrow instructions, amendments, and settlement statements. Communicate with clients, lenders, agents, and internal staff regarding status and required items. Manage incoming funds and disbursements per escrow instructions. Maintain compliance with state and company regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED required; some companies may prefer an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
1–2 years of escrow, title, mortgage, banking, or related real estate experience is usually preferred (some entry-level positions available with training).
Familiarity with real estate documents (purchase agreements, deeds, loan documents, title commitments).
Attention to detail – accuracy is crucial when preparing escrow instructions, reviewing documents, or balancing files.
Organizational skills – ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
Customer service – strong communication skills to interact with buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and other parties.
Problem-solving – resolving discrepancies in documents, title issues, or closing conditions.
Computer proficiency Math/financial accuracy – ability to calculate balances, prorations, and verify figures.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

FNF, its affiliates, and subsidiaries carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, specialty, experience, and work location. Based on location and job-related factors such as skillset and experience, this position has the potential to earn compensation in the range of $21.00 – $25.00 hourly. Actual rate may vary within the range provided, depending on a number of factors, including skillset, experience and location. The base compensation is one component of the total rewards package offered to our employees, including optional health and welfare insurance (medical/dental/vision/life/disability); paid holidays, vacation, and sick time off; and matching 401(k) plan and matching employee stock purchase plan.
